Surface

Technical Ventilated Façades
Press-in-place systems

SURFACE is a construction system developed to broadly meet the demands for sustainable design in wall cladding and the installation of ventilated façades, aiming at energy savings and thermal comfort.

The system is made up entirely of extruded aluminum profiles both in its structural base and in its esthetics part. The value engineering provided by the design of the profiles allows us to offer a product that is easy to install, resistant to weathering agents, lightweight, highly durable and with very low maintenance.

The SURFACE constructive model is extremely helpful in the design part. For this, it puts in our hands three sizes of slats that can be combined randomly or according to size and color patterns resulting from the imagination and design objectives of each project. The intermediate size of slat offers the possibility of including a perforated surface for application in areas that require transparency towards the outside or spaces that can be integrated into a facade lighting concept. The flat elements favor the incorporation of colors, finishes and textures as an expression of elegance and design thanks to the variety of membranes or foils that cover our profiles and make the variety of our options unique in the market.

In the technical part, the various slats snap onto the structure made up of different die-cut profiles available according to the specific requirements of each project or application. The assembly of the slats includes a false or blind gap of 5 millimeters that prevents the entry of water and allows the entry of air from the outside.

Application as ventilated facades

The SURFACE system applied as an exterior ventilated façade, installed in parallel to the building envelope, creates an intermediate moving air chamber that helps to passively regulate the temperature inside the building, optimizing thermal and acoustic insulation. The intermediate chamber reduces extreme thermal changes between the parallel structures, eliminates direct radiation and consequently contributes to the protection of the building envelope.

The natural ventilation provided by this façade construction model happens to be the most efficient strategy for passive cooling of the building envelope and takes on greater relevance in those places where the solar incidence is greater. In cold weather, the SURFACE system acts as a heat accumulator limiting the direct impact of low temperatures on the primary façade.

Application as wall and ceiling coverings

The advanced technology for the manufacture of laminates applied to different surfaces has generated a wide variety of finishes, colors and textures that organically blend with natural finishes, in addition to offering a longer-lasting alternative to traditional metallic finishes. This wide variety of finishes reach their greatest potential thanks to the technical opportunities that the SURFACE system offers to cover walls or be integrated as a suspended ceiling in any type of project.

Plane Perforated

Plane Perforated

Technical Ventilated Façades
Press-in-place systems

Fixed louver solar control systems are designed to limit the direct solar incidence on the glazed surfaces, improve the thermal performance of the glass due to the shading capacity of the slat and maintain high levels of visual transfer from the inside.

The perforated Plane system gives the facade an opaque appearance from the outside, while from the inside, the perforated skin practically disappears being completely translucent. On the other hand, as the sun sets we will begin to perceive the gaps in the facade and the appearance of the facade is transformed by acquiring a different dynamism that is typical of these architectural applications.

FEATURES

SOLAR CONTROL

Solar control slats are designed to limit the direct incidence of natural light. They reduce the temperature inside the installed areas and favor transparency, allowing the user to enjoy a high degree of vision.

Technical Ventilated Façades
Mechanical Assembly Systems

This is a family of rectangular parasols of different sections and sizes resulting from the combination of the Vee louvers models adapted to a common central core.

The different design proposals can be installed individually or integrated within the same facade as a personalized concept based on the generation of differentiated volumes and projections.

The installation is done using clamps that project the shape to its maximum extent at 90 degrees.

FEATURES

SOLAR CONTROL

Solar control slats are designed to limit the direct incidence of natural light. They reduce the temperature inside the installed areas and favor transparency, allowing the user to enjoy a high degree of vision.

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY SYSTEM

The option to install the slats by means of a mechanical assembly was developed to address the necessities of large glass surfaces, where a clean look with a limited number of vertical supports is called for in order to preserve a major visual transparency.

The mechanical attachment of the slats to the building structure is done by means of pincers that stick out of the flat surface of the structure. The installation of the slats in various inclination grades limits the direct solar impact and projects shadows onto the building envelope, resulting in a temperature reduction in the building.

Another option is to install side plates on the interior of the structure. These are offered in various designs so as to create different façade design patterns.

Technical Ventilated Façades
Mechanical Assembly Systems

Foil 300 and 400 models are developed to meet the needs of solar control of large glass surfaces that, due to their orientation, are exposed to a high solar incidence and consequently require large amounts of energy to generate comfortable thermal conditions.

These Foil 300 and 400 systems are installed using clamps that project the slat from one of its extremes in different grades. The size of its 300 and 400 mm slats allows the prescriber to project very clean surfaces by limiting the presence of vertical profiles that can be spaced up to 3.50 meters apart, depending on the installation height and wind resistance required.

Mechanical Assembly Systems

Foil 120 is a 120mm aircraft wing louvers proposal that offers a complete system of architectural solutions based on different installation options. A complete range of accessories is specially designed to generate a wide range of options for solar control, visual and thermal comfort.

Foil 120 slats act as a sunshade, which not only protects the building and its interior from solar radiation, but also can regulate its intensity, which combined with the air conditioning system help to provide thermal comfort to the interior of the building .

Foil 120 Mobile

The slats rotate up to 138º following the circadian cycle of the sun, and in vertical layout installations the direction of the slats can be selected according to the orientation of the facade.

Foil 120 incorporates in its design ABS side plugs to facilitate smooth sliding of the slats and eliminate friction between metal profiles avoiding oxidation points that affect the movement mechanism.

The facilities can be designed with manual mechanisms where you can access your movement from the inside or motorized when the needs of the project or its use so require.

We have intelligent systems that offer the designer the possibility of orienting the position of the slats according to the sun, wind, rain or a specific schedule.

It is a concept of smooth flat aluminum slats designed for application in ventilated façade projects or as cover louvers.

The three sizes of flat slats (78, 170 and 177 mm) can be installed independently or combined, while color and perforated textures can bee added for a more captivating look. The spacing between slats favors induced ventilation for the regulation of the temperature of the intermediate chamber between the louver and the building envelope, maintaining minimal water infiltration.

The application of lacquered or laminated wood-like coatings has expanded its specification area as a decorative option in the design of ceilings, pergolas and green walls.

Highly aesthetic design that privileges the protagonism of the slat by hiding behind it, the supports or slat holders.

The supports or louver holders are equally stamped to facilitate the anchoring of the louvers at the level without the need to use fastening screws or oppressors that can be loosened or oxidized due to exposure to environmental agents.

The EDGE slats can be separated from each other by project variables to generate a greater aeration surface or natural light input to the detriment of rainwater ingress and greater exposure to the outside view.

Box

Box

Technical Ventilated Façades
Press-in-place systems

The design of the BOX slat favors its use as a cover louver as well as for installation in areas with high demand for aeration flow due to the contribution of its design to reduce the pressure drop.

The perforated option enriches this proposal by incorporating sunscreen conditions into the design that extend its recommendation for use to be installed on large glass surfaces and for the enclosure of parking areas in buildings.

BOX proposes three options of separation between slats depending on the degree of coverage and aeration-free surface required for each project and investment available. The results of the water infiltration test without separation between slats recommend its specification in areas that need to be protected against the entrance of the rain.

FEATURES
